HOW DOES COMMENT IT! FIND MY PHOTOS?

Comment It! uses a proprietary, advanced search algorithm that does not search file names, but image narratives to find your photos. Comment It! opens each photo and looks for matching narrative in the image file itself and returns those photo images that match your search criteria. You customize each photo by simply adding your own narrative for the ability to find it later.

DOES COMMENT IT! STORE MY PHOTOS?

No, no, and no. Comment It! simply facilitates your productivity by storing your narrative in the image file itself, and later by searching on those narratives.

ARE MY PHOTOS SAFE?

Comment It! helps you organize your photos and doesn’t ever store your photos anywhere other than where you select. In fact, Comment It! integrates seamlessly with your phone’s camera roll and iCloud.

DO MY PHOTOS GET USED FOR ANYTHING ELSE?

Absolutely not. Your photos are your photos, Comment It! just adds your narrative to them so you can more easily remember and find the photos that matter.

WHEN WILL WE HAVE ANDROID AND/OR DESKTOP VERSIONS?

We are working hard to make sure the iPhone version is as fast and seamless as possible, and then we’ll get to work on an Android version and a web app that can be used from any desktop!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DELETE A PHOTO?

Once you delete a photo it really is deleted forever. It’s gone. Comment It! doesn't store or backup your photos, it simply allows you to add narrative to, and in turn, search your photos.

WHY CAN I NOT USE THE SEARCH RIGHT AWAY WHEN COMMENT IT! LAUNCHES?

When Comment It! launches, it scans all of the photos on your device for comments and assimilates that text for lightning-fast searches. Depending on the processor speed of and the number of photos on your device, "Fetching of Comments" can take from a few seconds to a minute or so - all of the other Comment It! functionalities are available while comment text is being gathered.

WHY DO I GET SO MANY POP-UPS WHEN I SAVE A COMMENTED PHOTO?

The pop-ups with the thumbnails of the photos are from iOS (the iPhone's operating system), not from Comment It!. iOS automatically asks questions pertaining to re-saving and/or deleting existing photos when the application making the modification to a photo is not a native Apple application.

WHEN I SEND A COMMENTED PHOTO OVER iMESSAGE OR WHATSAPP, WHY DO MY COMMENTS NOT APPEAR ON THE RECIPIENT'S COPY OF THE PHOTO?

iMessage and WhatsApp both remove comments added by Comment It! or any other application, so when you select to share a photo through Comment It! that photo's comments are automatically copied to the clipboard and can be easily retrieved from the clipboard (pasted) to accompany the photo.
